Questions

A farmer standing in a green field at golden hour
Who wrote it?
Dr Ajay Singh Tomar, our co-founder, who has spent his working life in Indian agriculture.
Who is it for?
Farmers and farmer groups thinking about natural farming, and the researchers, programmes and buyers who work with them.
What does it cover?
What Zero Budget Natural Farming is and how it differs from organic farming; seed treatment, Jeevamrit, soil cover and water; farm economics, ecology and who carries the work; how carbon in a field is accounted for, the credit routes that exist today and their limits; and a proposed pilot to measure it all on working farms.
Is this the final edition?
No. This first edition is published for review. The author and specialists in farming, economics, study design and carbon accounting will review it, and their corrections will go into the next edition.
Does it report results?
No. No project has started yet. The pilot in the book is a proposal, and any worked example in it is an example, not a result.
Can I share it?
Yes. Read it, print it and pass it on. The reader opens in Hindi and switches to English.
